Fluid dampers
Normally, the damping characteristics of fluid dampers vary sharply with temperature. The reason for this is the changing viscosity of the internal oil. ESM fluid dampers compensate for this drawback via a temperature-adaptive piston inside the damper.
Properties
- Passive damper: no regulation or power supply necessary
- No dynamic seals inside the damper – no risk of leakage
- Long lifetime
- Maintenance-free
- No temperature dependency
Applications
- Damper with high damping for use under industrial conditions
- As a damper in tuned mass dampers
- Wind turbines, construction, engineering
Linear dampers
The function of ESM’s linear damper is based on eddy currents. The magnets in the ESM linear-damper are specially aligned to increase their effect. The damping performance of the ESM linear damper can be easily adapted.
Properties
- Passive damper: no regulation or power supply necessary
- Easy to install in different positions
- Long lifetime
- Maintenance-free
Applications
- Damper with high damping for use under industrial conditions
- Wind turbines, construction, engineering
Rotation dampers
The function of ESM’s rotation damper is based on eddy currents. Speed transmission is used in the ESM rotation damper to convert a linear into a rotational movement. The speed transmission ratio can be used to enable high damping performance in connection with a small linear movement.
Properties
- Passive damper: no regulation or power supply necessary
- Easy to install in different positions
- Long lifetime
- Maintenance-free
Applications
- Damper with high damping for use under industrial conditions
- Wind turbines, construction, engineering
