Our social media channels invite you to exchange ideas and we look forward to constructive feedback. In order to maintain polite and respectful interaction online, we must insist on the following discussion rules:

• People are communicating with real people, even if a certain distance has been created by social media. We ask you to be aware of this.
• We uphold the rules of politeness and ask for the same according to the principle: “Treat others as you would like to be treated”
• We also ask that you treat others with respect, tolerate other opinions and provide objective and constructive feedback.
• Behavior that we cannot tolerate:

• • Hate speech, in particular insults, degradation and discrimination against persons (groups), in particular on the basis of their religion, ethnic origin, nationality, physical condition, sexual identity, age or gender
  • defamatory, business-damaging, inflammatory, provocative or even criminal statements
  • Threats and any incitement to violence against institutions, companies or persons (groups)
  • statements that endanger the public, individuals or groups of people
  • Pornography, obscenities and other content harmful to minors
  • Election and party advertising
  • Calls for campaigns, demonstrations, rallies or donations
  • Misuse of the comment function as advertising space for websites, goods and services and interest groups (spamming)
  • Publishing private information (e.g. contact details, telephone numbers or addresses)
  • Violations of copyright law and the right to one’s own image
  • Infringement of the rights of third parties
  • Comments that do not deal with the topic of the respective post

Disclaimer:

• We ask for compliance with our netiquette in order to avoid deletion.
• In the event of a violation despite a warning, we will, for the protection of all of us, without prior notice
  • Report criminal comments to the police.

• We reserve the right to check links and linked content to external websites without reference to the original post and to remove the URL/comment if necessary.

• If a breach of the rules has been noticed, we ask for direct feedback.
• Users are responsible for their comments. ESM accepts no liability.
• We reserve the right to adapt the netiquette at our own discretion.
• By commenting on our platforms/channels, we automatically receive consent for these statements to be publicly accessible and quoted.
