Clamping Bushings

We develop products right from the start

The clamping bushing has been developed by ESM for the mounting of gears with a 3-point mounting system.

This type of bushing is outstanding due to its simple installation and optimum vibration and damping characteristics, which prevent material fatigue. The clamping bushing consists of two half-shells each mounted in a metal housing.

The most common standard types are described below.

Simple installation directly in the mounting eye of the torque support

ESM clamping bushings feature simple installation, even in a closed gear mounting eye.

The clamping bushing is easy to install using a clamping process. This simplifies assembly, particularly during operations in the nacelle of wind turbines.

Ø i = 132mm Ø a = 230mm l = 310mm
After the pre-stressing of one bushing half,
the second half is simply pushed in

of a 2.5 MW wind turbine
To absorb higher torques or forces, one clamping bushing is installed in front of and one behind the torque arm, each in its own metal housing.

If you like, we can manufacture your individual housing according to your specification.
